Is there a way to get the units removed from the file before processing?

The User has some text files of trend data from the building EMS. Has uploaded it into UT with the date and time in the first two columns and the measured value in the third column. Date, time and value are seperated by commas, however the units follow the value reading. So when User goes to process or graph the data there is an error. Is there a way to get the units removed from the file before processing? Or???
try fixed field file
In this instance try importing the file as a fixed field file instead.
